Five Easy Ways to Have an Awesome Bonding Time with your Child This Holiday Season…
It’s the Holiday Season ! This means an escape from the hectic school schedule and more free time for your child and you.
Here’s some ideas for you to spend some quality bonding time with your child.
1) Plan a Vacation
Vacations need not be expensive. A trip across the causeway is an enjoyable experience too. Let your child pen down activities for the holidays including a timeline of events and review them together.
2) Listen Intently
With the upcoming break, there will be more time for your child to reflect on his experiences and emotions. He may want to express his thoughts and feelings with you on any past happening or his future plans. Listen intently and provide your best support.
3) Teach them
Teach your child something interesting. It doesn’t always have to be about Maths. Select a topic out of the box like Astronomy, Travel, Culture. This creates interests in exploring new ideas.
4) Outdoor Exercise
Plan outdoor activities like gardening, going for a picnic, cycling. Doing this most certainly improves bonding with your child and your may start to see you as a friend and is then able to share more with you too.
5) If there’s homework, do it together with your child.
There will be holiday assignments and homework given during this break. Schedule a regular time table to go through homework with your child to avoid the last-minute homework rush. Show to your child that she is not alone in this journey.
With your support, any achievement is possible for your child.
Remember to re-energise, re-charge and refresh for the upcoming journeys…enjoy !
